I think the 9.3x62 is a heck of a cartridge. It certainly betters the 35 Whelen. I would worry a bit about resale though. I don't think it's a cartridge that people get all warm and fuzzy over. Back in the middle '80's Jim Coffin built a 98 Mauser on the 9.3x62 on speculation. I engraved it for him. Again on spec. It took 4 or 5 years to sell that rifle. Many times people would fondle the rifle and get that glassy-eyed look that we are all familier with. Mention the caliber and they would deflate like a balloon. People may be more accepting now. Though the metric calibers aren't at the top of many lists. Uninformed as it may be. |
