I agree.
I've used the 2.5 Leup a fair bit on one of my doubles, and it is a great little scope.
I do often find that a bit more magnification would be usefull though.
For close shooting the 2.5 is fine, but on a .375 mag I think I'd much prefer a variable which still offers very low power magnification at the bottom end.
1-4, 1.5-5, 1.75-6, 2-7, 2.5-8, with the 1.5-5 being a very good choice IMO.
