Re: Pre-64 vs Dakota

My Dakota 375 H&H shoots Swift Aframes well--although I can't say markedly better than my 338 Supergrade-around an inch and change at 100. No tack driver but we're talking about a "small club" with a 375H&H.

The extra money for the Dakota is obviously for its appearance/features and the gun is not primarily focused on accuracy.A "showdog" of sorts. But again we're talking DG guns and reliability here not just accuracy.

And yes,you can upgrade the Win 70 action with an extractor and various components as it has evolved since '64.Custom gunmakers do.

Over all I think the post 64 Win 70 CRF action is great and with minimal changes gets even better!I think a great action to build a DG bolt on!
