Unlike, say, a SAKO, the CZ has a very small action tang portion of metal available to contact the wood. The bedding on mine was very poor indeed, with little contact even where there was tang metal to do it. A small dab of epoxy fixed the issue, but the action would probably have rocked side to side without it. Part of the weight issue for mine is of course the heavy rings and scope I put on. The Burris scope I used is heavy. Tho my rifle demanded a lot of work, it has turned into a real favorite, as such guns often do for me. Please let us know if your bolt will close on a round shoved up the pipe! |
