Hi Montana: Basically that sounds like a very nice semi custom rifle, and the price is right for $1,000.00 BUT BUT BUT... this is just MY OPINION ONLY... Was the barrel put on correctly, was the chamber cut correctly. Will the action feed correctly all the time, remember the gun was never fired, how do you know the work was done correctly until you buy it and shoot for groups and function. Was the stock free floated, pillar and glass bedded, ..?? The phrase never fired is what I would be leary of. I wouldn't worry about a 22in barrel that much, and I could take or leave the CRF issue. But that is a low price for someone to do all that work and sell for a grand. A regular Sako Finnbear say in 7MM Mag in excellent condition with a pre 72 L61R action is worth almost a grand, according to Blue Book Pub Inc. Buyer beware... For about the same price you can buy a brand new Ruger 375 RSM... if something is wrong send it back to Ruger. You get scope mounts, CRF, and a great looking rifle. Regards... Jim P. |
