Do you NEED a Left-Hand stock?

I am a lefty, and I merely modify Right-Hand wood stocks. I thin or adjust the comb to align my eye with the stock. Seems like if you have a good sound, well-bedded stock that is right handed, you could be money ahead by merely reshaping the existing stock to fit you. Just an idea.
