I was talking with my local firearms dealer, and he can finally order the CZ 550 Safari Classics, and the price is quite reasonable. So now I'm stuck on which Caliber to get, its available in 505 Gibbs, 500 Jeffery, 404 Jeffery, 450 Rigby, and 300 H&H Mag, but I'm really interested in 404 and 505, they just intrigue me. So heres the details normally needed when advice is asked of caliber choices: Rifle Use: Mostly, I just want one, I'm a huge CZ Fan, and have always wanted a safari classic, so now that its available for order at my local dealer, I'm getting one. Other rifles: I already have a Brno ZKK 602 in 375 H&H, as well as a Win Mod 70 in 458 Lott, and various small bore rifles for deer and such. Ammo costs and availably: I handload, and have no problem ordering brass for any of the calibers, so thats not an issue. So what do you guys reccommend? Which caliber would you be happier with? Would the 404 Jeff be to close to the 375 and 458, that is, would I be overlapping usefulness? Thoughts? Thanks. Trev. |
