Ditto what Raff said. I have run numerous 2000 fps 900grn loads in my 600. The gun will take more than the shooter most of the time :-). One thing you want to consider on any of the large rimmed cases is having the safety machined down into the tang so the rims don't get caught on ejection and just lay in the feed tray. My 577-600 did this until I modified it. I know Hamilton Bowen offers this touch and while not cheap, I would get it done if I was making one of these big guys again. |
