600 Overkill Build Finished
|

It's been a while, but it's finally done. Here is the original post I made on this rifle: http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=187003&page=2&fpart=1&vc=1 Final specs for the rifle are a 21" barrel and 8 3/4 lb weight. Test fire video is a 900 grain bullet with 160 grains of IMR 4350. Started at 140 grains and worked my way up. Chronographed the 140 grain load at 1700 fps and the 160 grain load at over 2000 fps.

Yes, luckily the barrel hit his forehead stopping it from flying backwards (any further) allowing him to grab the rifle

I like the stock, how's it compare to walnut for weight?
Did you end up going with a McMillan?

Don't know what a standard walnut stock weighs, but mine weighs 2 1/2 lbs. I did end up getting the McMillan CZ Express stock. Took a bit to convince them that it would fit. The barrel profile is a little bit bigger than what they designed the stock for.

The USPSA match with the 500 is all-star.
