NEW MEMBERS We have been experiencing some problems with prospective new members not receiving verification emails after applying for membership. The process is: 1. A prospective member applies for membership; 2. An automatic email is sent to the member with their password with a link which they must click on, or copy and paste into a browser, to verify their email address exists. These emails sometimes seem to take several hours to be sent/received. In the past it was a few minutes. 3. If they fail to do this, after a few days (three ?) the membership times out 4. Once an email address is email verified an administrator manually examines the application and then approves it I have failed to duplicate the problem reported and when I have tested the system several times I always get a verification email. Sometimes five hours later. The problem seems to be external somewhere on the internet. If you are a prospective member and DON'T receive a verification email after applying (wait a day or so), please send us a manual email and we will do it manually. Thanks. NitroExpress.com |
