I've eaten a lot of African game meat, and to tell you the truth, I enjoy it greatly-more than our deer, moose, elk, etc. The only game I didn't particularly care for was Ostrich, (which I think may have been in the freezer too long), Waterbuck, and Croc (tasted too fishy for my taste). I enjoyed Elephant, Buffalo Tongue, and Leopard, but my favorites are Impala liver with onions for breakfast, Eland filet, Buffalo tail soup, and Nyala filet served Zulu style. For a special treat, I don't think you can beat a young Warthog that's been slow roasted all day on a spit over an open fire. MMMMMMM MMMMMMM GOOD! |
