The imagine of the Great White Hunter stepping out in Africa, with his double or magazine rifle carried over his shoulder and a hand firmly grasped around the muzzle pointing forward, is a recognizable image associated with safari culture. However, there always seems to be opposition to the carriage of rifles in this way. Apart from looking like a complete twatt, is there a safety issue involved here and if so what is it ? I have my own ideas but some more knowledgeable input would be appreciated. |
