I would suggest that you look at success rate rather than price alone. RSA Leopard hunting probably averages around 40% success. Places such as Mozambique, Tanzania & Zim would be at least twice that....... don't just believe the PH/outfitter as they'll tell you what you want to hear...ask for and check references and ask the referees to send you photographs. The only country you might have problems getting a US import licence for is Mozambique, but I'm sure you're F&WS guys would advise you on that. The daily rate of US$300 per day also looks a little suspicious to me. It's on the cheap side for plains game hunting, let alone a Leopard hunt.....but it could be that he's hoping to make the money up on the bait animals. |
