Actually most places have rules, like you can only bring in or out 20 rounds of amo.

Generally if you're hooked up well with a good outfit, they already have a special guard to wave you through, everything is expedited and the fees (wink) have all been pre-paid.
They don't tell you this, it's just done.

I have never heard of someone with a problem coming in with too much, but leaving "at the airport" most countries check for amo.
