You might ask Igbal or Melhumaker (sorry on the sp.) but I don't think Babu necessarily means what you think. Maybe as used by the Blacks but not as used by the Indians.

Mick. I'm no expert on African langauges, but I beleve the word Baba, is father, or sometimes used as Boss , Babu, is grandfather, and Mama is the head female!
