Adam My 9.3X57 went to the South Island. The stock on that rifle had a bigger drop for using open sights. Kicked like a mule with that thin comb. I put a scope on it added a straighter Wenig laminated stock which solved the problem Finally I built a 358 on a Mod 70 action & got rid of the Husky. Now the Simson is a beautifully made gun that handled like a shotgun. Unfortunately the stock was fire damaged (24 lpi checkering still good!) & some pits on the outside, though the bore was fine. The work is being done by Keith Frazier of Tauranga (he worked at H&H Londong for a few years in the 80's). I'll request John to put up the photos once I get the rifle. Cheers |
