First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their comments and ideas. I bought a Leupold 1.5 x 5, illuminated reticle, with a 30mm tube. I got rid of the Warne QD rings, and mounted it in Leupold Bases. This setup gives me a full 5 inches of eye relief. I took the rifle to the range this afternoon, and I must say that I'm very happy with the outcome. I can get my fat face down on the stock, and the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot now. I fired two, three shot groups after resighting, and 6 shots were in one ragged hole at 75 yards. I have the rifle hitting 1 inch high at that range.
