Dear Gentlemen ! Please cool down ! It was not my intention that we start blaming each other, be aware of the anti-hunters and bunny-huggers. Nobody is perfect, not even me ! For example I can walk but am not a superb marksman ( another reason to get close ).
But initially I was concerned about the future of our quarry, in this case the African buffalo, or any other game species as well.
A couple of days ago I read again " Nyati - The Art of Hunting the African Buffalo " from the well known African Hunter Magazine. I have read a sentence ( on page 17 )that tells You my concern : " It is generally accepted that shooting bulls out of breeding herds is poor conservation practice as the disturbance disrupts the herd causing reductions in fertility and may result in spontaneous abortion. "
I would like to turn the discussion in that direction for the benefit of my beloved buffalos.
