Right now I am considering to book a safari for buffalo in Guinea, where You could shoot a lion or lioness if You are lucky enough to see one. No need to buy licenses before the hunt, You could shoot all legal game and pay after the hunt. A male lion will cost 6000,- Euro, a lioness 3000,- Euro. The cost for the safari is 4000,- Euro, so this should be the cheapest possibility to shoot a lion. Of course the chances are very remote to just see a lion there, let alone the unstable political situation, which makes me think twice about this hunt.
Of course most hunters are dreaming of a black maned lion, and I am no exception. On the other side, all game animals are beautiful creatures, be it male or female, so it is a rather personal decision. Just think of hunting cow elephants.
