I know the regulations of only countries of central and western Africa. Birds and hares apart, shooting females and subadults is a crime. So shooting a lioness costs at least double lion fee in Burkina Faso. In the CAR, it's custody to begin with and a hefty bail (pocketed and lost forever) about 60 000 $. In Cameroon the sanction might be between theses examples. I wonder if I could shoot a lioness. I have a tremendous admiration for this beautiful predator. I love to see them (on the TV) when tense stalking a prey, the tail + back+ tip of the snout forming a straight line, the shoulder blades jutting. Fantastic vision. And this geometric head’s profile, as cut with a hatchet. Has somebody a photo of a stalking lioness? |
