For this elephant at this angle the shot should pass through the bottom right of the Y of the bone ridge to the left of the figure 8 openng (looks like a figure 8 on its side.)

This will have the bullet passing just a bit above the zygomatic arch and so traveling through lower portion of the brain from right front of the brain to left rear.
