WOW, now that my friend is an elephant worth shooting!
Was the block you were in famous for big bulls, or was it just a freak? I know that Tanzanian ivory is meant to be long and light, but the length on those things is great, and the animal looks like a real old age pensioner too!
What caliber was used?
BTW when the elephant didn't drop from the head shot, did he give you a chance to shoot again?
...I remember Craig Boddington's advice to aim for the heart/lungs, not as spectacular but reliable...
