Re: Some pics of a safari in Burkina Faso

Thanks

I have to convice my friends to write as fast as possible their report.
In fact, I think there will be 2 reports.
1) the report of this hunt
2) a digest of hunting this outfit 4 times 2times by myself, 3 times by luc and 2 times by claude. All these hunts agregated with considerations for the country, the people, the politics, and many pics and anecdotes that Toufic may divulge. A pity some cannot be aired because of politically embarassing.

The Roan, Hippotrague rouan is the french name , on the picture is an old male : OF COURSE. In Burkina one may shoot only full grown male, preferably past breeding. The PH know the threshold of horns' size for every shootable antelopes and penalities ares stiff and applied.
This male was loosely following a mixed herd of about 40 beasts. With these old solitary males one is sure to shoot an allowed game. The females too bear horns but are never solitary. These solitaries often have slightly worn horns.
On this territory roan are favourite lion snack. More than buff.
