I'll try and get you a pick of a similar maned lion here in South-Africa.A friend of mine has a lion breeding station here in SA where he breeds lions for national parks all over africa. They aren't tame so don't try your luck.He has got 75 on his property wich is about 5000ha big. They stay in camps to cut down on fatalities.Al the males walk in their own camps and are only introduced to females who are ready to mate. The big male that he's got he bought from a zoo in Europe somewhere.I think italy. The one on the picture is definitly a zoo lion. Another reason for its mane looking so good is because the lion dont move in natural bush. The bush thins out the mane everyday and old lions can have very little mane. E.G Kenia and Lion have lots more impressive manes than lions in Kruger National Park South-Africa.Here the bush is a lot thicker and here is a lot more thorn trees where as Kenia is open Savvanah with mostly open planes.
