I agree with you regarding the older style shirt. Cabela's sure took a good product and "improved" it into something rediculous. I saw they were closing out the old style and bought all they had left a while back. I buy all olive colored clothing; it blends in well and disappears in the shadows.

Soft and quiet leather walking shoes are my favorite on safari. The walking is easy compared to what I am used to here, and foot comfort takes over.
