![]() I've been happy walking and hunting in Africa with cloths like pictured above. And I haven't found the darkish colors to be too hot, although I have heard others complain about dark clothing under the hot African sun. Nothing fancy, and it certainly wasn't new. In fact, the shorts pictured had previously travelled the length of Africa. Thus, they were so worn out when I took them ele hunting last year, when I bent over, you'd see right thru a hole worn thru the fabric in the seat of the shorts. But luckily, my underwear kept the tsetse flies from gaining access to more tender areas. ![]() ![]() The upside with bringing something like this is that by the end of the hunt, they were so worn out that I left them behind. Which created space in my bag to bring more stuff home. My PH last year wore some very simular cloths. As have other PHs I've known or have hunted with. So I would say don't worry too much about what you're wearing, as long as you personally feel comfortable in it. In retrospect though, I suppose I should have asked to borrow Mickeys leopard skin hat. Which would have perhaps raised my safari style to a more cultivated level. ![]() ![]() |
