Most people, at least in Australia, have never seen wildlife outside the animal parks etc.

Several months ago I got caught up in a discussion about the shooting of kangaroos. As often and usually happens, I was asked how I would feel if I was a kangaroo and was shot. I said much better than the alternative.

I said to these people....do you think there are nursing homes in the bush for kangaroos. Do you think that when a kangaroo gets caught in a fence that the other kangaroos call the ambulance before the crows, pigs and ants arrive.

A common theme to the replies from the other side is along the lines of.....I don't what to hear about it.
