In reply to: Will In Aust we like to do our own thing. Thirty years ago there was NO paid hunting, and NO guides. And it was wonderful for those who knew what was where and what was what. My guess is Bakes has never used a guide and maybe never will. I don't see where in his question he is saying not to use guides ie "My way, or the Highway". But unfortunately other peoples "ways" have been forced upon us here, by the pursuit of the dollar. Also we do not have large areas of public land to hunt on, government permits of public game animals. Almost all game here is owned by the landowner who decides what access others have. I personally would hate to see a situation like in South Africa and Zimbabwe where the citizen hunters are second class citizens unable to afford to hunt the representative species of their own countries. |
