Re: The "Professional Client"

It's examples like this that have made me decide several years ago not to enter anything in record books again. I hunt only for myself, and not a book number so that anyone who sees it can go gaga, and tell me what a great hunter I am. I think record books do serve a purpose to show where the better trophies are coming from, but all too often they're attracting egomaniacs. At one time I was a measurer for SCI and one chap whose heads I scored had quite a few heads in the top 10. A couple of years later it was in the news that he was busted by federal agents who caught him hunting in Yellowstone National Park. Yea he shot a real monster Elk that was probably destined for another top entry in the book. He was convicted, and all of his entries were deleted from the book, and he was booted out of SCI. Money to burn + Huge ego= Danger of unethical practices. Just an opinion.
