My "tried and true" loading is the 286 gr Woodleigh Protected Point which killed buffalo cows and younger bulls without any problems.

I bought several boxes of Nosler BTs at the same time to try on deer.

Not sure how they would regulate but of course with a Tikka I can set the barrels for them if necessary.

I would like a bit more speed out of my loadings as the current ones are very mild and a bit more rainbow than I would like for plains game.

Of course I can also borrow the PHs ("Ndumo") rifle which is the 8x68S which I am also keen to try out.
