I've seen this discussion before and 'dagga' is marijuana, weed, malawi cob, whatever you want to call it.

I think Alf in his definitive way summed it up and decreed 'duga' with one 'G' as being the derivative of mud. As in your alias 'DUGABOY' or 'mud-boy'.

As for pronounciation I've heard it pronounced both as 'dagga' and 'dugga'.

Mr Ron Berry used to call himself 'DaggaRon' or 'druggie-ron'.

Now he just calls himself 'rest-in-peace'.
