In reply to: The first time I read Lupo's story IMO I was reading a fictional hunting story. Why does every beast seem to charge at some writers? Give me a break, he shoots the charging buffalo in the chest and it drops from the .45/70 ??? Also I count at least four bullet holes in that rhino and didn't count any from the head. If they make up fictional stories about some things, why should people believe any other part of it? A bit of window dressing to an article is one thing, but IMO make believe charges is another. IMO that story was written as a bullet advertisement for brittle flat nosed cast bullets. Why brittle? Because they recommend they are driven slower for "better" penetration. If driven too fast my guess is they break up. |
