I was expressing my opinion. If I recall correctly, the thread was asking for opinions.

We are splitting hairs when we claim not to be calling people out, and then turn around and paint their expressed opinion as silly.

Unlike a lot of others, I can speak from personal experience. It is not effective on wild boar, and the bullet dropslike a rock after it leaves the muzzle, bleeding more energy downrange than just about any other caliber.

And if I recall correctly, the bison slaughter involved shots from relatively close range. And don't forget, American Indians killedthem very effectively with bows and arrows. But I wasn't there, so cannot claim that as fact.

African DG are not bison, nor are they made of newspaper. But I'll keep my 45-70 handy in the event newspapers start growing teeth and claws.
