What kind of test could be considered credible where the 45-70 outpenetrates the .458Win?

Look man.
I can load the .458 in such a fashion that the .22lr outperforms it, but what's the point?
Referencing that kind of information doesn't do a damn bit of good to the appearance of your position or intent in the conversation.

Dangerous game or rodent control, it just doesn't matter when the material you're citing as foundation for what you see as truth smells like hogwash!
