Doubles, like any rifle, need to fit the shooter for best results, including the least felt recoil. There is no intrinsic reason a double needs to have more drop that a bolt rifle, assuming both are set up for use with open sights.

I figure you aren't using too much gun if you are wondering, and sometimes shooting to see just how accurate your rifle is rather than wondering whether you can keep it in the black when you are shooting it.
