If say you are spending around US$12,000 all up and that probably isn't enough, is $400 for a more capable rifle being an extra 3% going to break the bank? Instead of using a marginal rifle and cartridge which could result in failure?

It doesn't take a $5000 custom bolt action or a $20,000 double to kill a buffalo. A $700 .375 H&H Magnum will do it without any fuss.

My point here is that argument is not a valid reason for using a .45/70 LA. If anyone wishes to use one, go ahead and do it, but claiming the price of a rifle is the reason doesn't add up.

A hint. Buy a CZ in good condition second hand! ALL of my centrefire rifles except a .222 were owned by at least one other person before me.

If you pick the classic "troll topic" with ALL the right ingredients to make up the formula you really have to expect some disagreement and worse.

We have had an obvious and fairly transparent troll claim to be a member on these forums recently and at least two of his aliases here are obvious. The others we will work out over time.
