The anits are utterly hypocritical in every way. I've seen any number of sworn vegetarians wearing leather belts, leather-strapped Birkenstocks, etc. They make me sick, and I do my best to avoid them at all costs. That's the best way to communicate with them -- avoidance!

But sometimes you're forced to mingle anyway. I was once at a party one time in liberal Portland, and one of the loony New Age guests claimed to have a rabbit as her personal "spirit guide". She then produced, of all things, a "chanting drum", which she announced had a cover made of elk hide!

My comment to that: "I guess a 'spirit guide' must have bit the dust in order for you to have that drum!"
