Usulally they are wearing leather shoes and belt, not vegetarians. I tell them I like to do some of the killing myself instead of relying on hired help. That I don't mind beng directly responsible for the (hopefully) quick and humane death of an animal that lived relatively well compared to the animals they are indirectly responsible for killing.

As for Vegans, they are generally beyond thought. But I have some respect for their consistency, even while having none for their views. We are predators, eyes to the front, canine teeth and digestive eystems and all. Give me the three part stomach of ruminants and I'll think grass is something other than a bother to cut.
