In reply to: From what one hears, it may not be as simple as it first appears. Either one shoots it in the water, in which case all you get to see is eyes/ears/nostrils .... or one tries to ambush it while it is feeding on land, a situation in which the animals are exceedingly paranoid and prone to aggressive reactions. Like trying to kill you. These do happen to be large, surprisingly fast, animals who kill per people per annum than any other grass-eater in Africa. Or so I hear,,, but then hearsay is not admissable evidence, is it? Any members of this board with experience are welcome to enlighten me. Peter |
