I hunted with Paul and Denny of Negasha Safaries in 04. We(my wife and myself) in hunted the Omay. Thier camp in the area was magnificent. There were plenty of elephant a goodly amnount of buffalo and some of the best Water Buck, in this area, I've seen. Lion are thin. I did take a very nice Leopard but there are better areas. Plains game other than this are average. This is a truly unfenced wilderness area. The ivory will average 35 pounds. There are larger bulls taken (I was lucky), but In todays Africa this is as good as you can hope for on an affordable hunt. There are cows every where and they are agressive. If you are not chased at a regular interval I would be suprised. |
