Re: Nengasha Safaris, Zim AND Northern Omay region

John
On my Zim 2004 Safari I hunted 21 days in what is probably called the southern OMAY. Check out www.hhksafaris.com

I was in the Manuily Camp. I never saw the Lake, but I did hunt near Matsodonia Natl. Park one day.
HHK described the area as good for cow elephant, buff, leopard, just ok for lion, and not a great plains game area.
From my previous posts you probably know I took a 50/55 lb bull elephant, 2 cow elephant 2 buff, a good waterbuck, good kudu, a great klipspringer, a great civit cat, jackel baboon a good baboon, a good impala plus 10 more for leopard bait. We saw a lot of male leopard tracks but only got a female in the tree.
We saw one set of lion tracks, nefver had a lion hit my bait, but in a camp @40K away a good lion was taken and he shot at a leopard twice, missing both times.

I was very happy with my hunt and the animals I took.

If everything goes to plan I should be in the OMAY this March hunting for croc, hippo and 6 cow elephants. I think I will be in the northern part as I was told there will be some tiger fishing on the lake.
I will give you the exact details when I return.
