If you are asking me, I used a .500 NE. On different eles I used different solids - Woodleigh, Bridger and GS Custom. For shooting cow ele in the head, all worked great. On a side brain the Bridger caused such a big pressure wave within the brain cavity of a cow that it literally blew out the back of her skull, for approx. 3" x "6". Also, it appears I missed the brain a couple of times with FN solids, but the ele still went down hard. However, the real measurable difference between FN and RN solids is found on body shots where the FN tend to go about 20" further (in my experience) and create a larger wound channel/more blood.
