I sure like them. I have them on several of my rifles including my"non-dangerous" ones as well. I like them for many reasons, some of which are:
You can take the scope off and use the iron sights when you need or want to.
You can have more than one scope for the rifle sighted in and ready to go.
You can remove the scope when your rifle is being handled by baggage handlers, placing the scopes in your carry on, where they receive TLC.
