You're spot on about their quickness. One day while out hunting with Steve Tors at Jan's, we were in Steve's little Suzuki and we stopped to take a few photos of some Elephants. The Elephants finally moved off, and just then a Black Rhino bull charged the car from perhaps 50 yards away. The first two times that Steve turned the ignition key, there was no response. Finally, on the third try, it started up, and we took off. In the few seconds it took Steve to get the vehicle started, the Rhino had covered most of the ground between us. Of course you know what Steve said later: "that was some action, eh?" ![]() |
