Clark,

Mark was carrying a Charles Osborne & Co. 577 NE, circa 1910. This lovely and wonderful rifle was previously owned by legendary African PHs Owen Rutherford and Deaf Banks. Mark has owned it for at least 12 years.

Of the double rifles I've examined over the years, this 577 is my favorite by far. It's short, compact, handy, points and handles perfectly, and fits me like a glove. Recoil is generous, to be sure, but manageable.
