I short stroked my M98 .30-06 on a "charging" hog deer once. Yes mistakes happen.

If he had been a real charging bushbuck, I'd have been horned. The wounded hog deer was just running up hill, saw me, diverted a few feet away, and crashed into the heavy ferns understory, nearby and died.
