I prefer my 1936 Model 70, thanks.
I had a post 64 M70 in .264 Winchester, re-barreled it to .458 Alaskan. THEN it was something special, but still prefer the buttery smooth action and great handling/fit of the Pre64 Winnie.
My Palma Match rifle is a post 64, but rebarreled in .30 BR, it's just a 200yard match rifle. I also have a .22 barrel in 1.6" IMP Short Swift for that action for shooting field rats.
About identical to the original .22 PPC.
