Re: The Best Off-Road Truck

Pictures posted of these or other Landcruisers are welcome.

I'll try to get some off the net or personal posted.

I don't see much need for the "back of bakkie" shooting seat and platform here in Australia. We don't havemuchnov chaffeurs/PHs driving us around shooting animals from the vehicle. If we shoot from the vehicle it's usually out the window ... or if spotlighting rabbits and foxes out the window, or guys standing in the back.

I do like the little ladders or steps on the side to get in and out.

I'd love a dual cab 70 series diesel commercial Landcruiser. An acquaintance a few years ordered one, it seems a single cab is cut into a dual cab. A$120,000 .... btw his was ready, the dealer could sell it for A$150,000. Out of my price league ... How do farm lads afford it?

That would buy several safaris !!!

If I had one though I'd look at a frame and a full length roof rack. Though the b0cargo tray would be very handy. Trips and even more so farm use. A full roof rack would mean no standing in the back. Unless a hatch was cut in it.
