That gun could have passed through a UK or other auction house or it could be sitting in your gun safe or mine. There are so many noteworthy firearms where this is the case - Bell's Winchester 54 .220 Swift, other .350 Rigbys noted in colonial era hunting books/stories, David Blunt's .416 Rigby, various Hoffmans and Griffins.
