The new laws make it very difficult indeed for non-residents to import firearms on a long term basis or to acquire firearms here - but I believe it's not impossible if you're willing to go through the hoops.

The people in the Central Firearms Register are fairly helpful but are also very aware that they need to abide by the new laws completely.

Probably the best thing you can do is call them on the phone and ask them the best way to proceed.
